Wat is er bereikt?
In deze vierde aflevering van de Digital Farming serie werpen we een blik op de vooruitgang die dit project heeft geboekt. Hoe ver zijn ze gekomen in het onderzoek naar precisiespuiten en is het project nu voltooid?
Demodag plantspecifiek spuiten
Op de Demodag bij Vertify in Zwaagdijk benadrukt projectleider Gerben van Lenthe het belang van dit onderzoek.
Verschillende deelnemers geven inzicht in de huidige stand van zaken.
Pim Sturm, eerder te zien in deel 3, neemt bezoekers mee terug naar het begin en de uitdagingen die overwonnen moesten worden bij de overdracht van dit baanbrekende idee.
Namens het Lectoraat Robotica deelt Kristel van Ammers de resultaten behaald door studenten van Inholland, zoals eerder te zien in deel 2. Peter Millenaar van BB Leap, ook bekend uit deel 3, laat zien wat er nu mogelijk is met deze geavanceerde technologie.

Demonstratie
De Demodag sluit af met een overtuigende demonstratie, waarbij alle aanwezigen met eigen ogen getuigen zijn van de mogelijkheden. De mogelijkheid om bestrijdingsmiddelen tot wel 90% te verminderen is indrukwekkend.
LTO Nederland
Dit onderzoek biedt nieuwe kansen voor de landbouwsector in heel Nederland. Daarom wordt het nauwlettend gevolgd door de vakgroep Akkerbouw en Vollegrondsgroente van LTO Nederland. Tineke de Vries, voorzitter van deze vakgroep deelt hun perspectief en de uitdagingen die nog in het verschiet liggen.
Economisch onderzoek
In het kader van dit project voeren studenten van Business, Finance & Law aan Inholland een economisch onderzoek uit. Ze onderzoeken de rendabiliteit van precisiespuiten en de impact op de kostprijs van producten. Dit onderzoek is echter nog niet afgerond bij de afsluitende Demodag.
Hoe nu verder
De vooruitgang is duidelijk zichtbaar, de ontwikkelingsfase is succesvol afgerond. Het komende seizoen zal het daadwerkelijke gebruik van deze technologie van start gaan. Desalniettemin staat er nog veel werk op de agenda, gezien de omvang van deze baanbrekende veranderingen is er echter nog veel werk te verrichten en blijven verdere onderzoeken noodzakelijk.

What is achieved?
In this fourth episode of the Digital Farming series, we take a look at the progress that this project has made. How far have they come in their research on precision spraying, and is the project now completed?
Plant-Specific Spraying Demo Day
At the concluding Demo Day at Vertify in Zwaagdijk, project leader Gerben van Lenthe emphasizes the importance of this research. Various participants provide insights into the current status. Pim Sturm, previously featured in part 3, takes visitors back to the beginning and the challenges that had to be overcome in transferring this groundbreaking idea. Kristel van Ammers, from the Lectorate Robotics, shares the results achieved by Inholland students, as seen in part 2. Peter Millenaar of BB Leap, also known from part 3, demonstrates what is now possible with this advanced technology.

Demonstration
The Demo Day concludes with a compelling demonstration, allowing all attendees to witness firsthand the possibilities that this innovative technology already offers.
LTO Netherlands
This research offers new opportunities for the agricultural sector throughout the Netherlands. Therefore, it is closely monitored by the Arable Farming and Field Vegetables Department of LTO Netherlands. Tineke de Vries, the chair of this department, shares their perspective and the challenges that lie ahead.
Economic Research
As part of this project, students from the Inholland Business, Finance & Law department are conducting economic research. They are investigating the profitability of precision spraying and its impact on product costs. However, this research is not yet completed at the concluding Demo Day.
What’s Next
The progress is clearly visible, and the development phase has been successfully completed. Upcoming season the actual use of this technology will begin. Nevertheless, there is still much work on the agenda, given the scale of these groundbreaking changes. Further research remains necessary.
